Scope of Work
The e-Applications Migration Program is a major technology initiative by the company ICT Information Systems Department. The company business is increasingly reliant on business applications for communicating and transacting with partners, customers, and employees. These business applications have become a mission-critical source of competitive advantage for the company. This requires ICT to make use of next-generation IT technologies that can be leveraged to provide the demanding requirements of the corporation and to support business processes that promote differentiation, innovation, and competitive advantage to increase profits while improving productivity and lower operation costs. Over last 10 years, ICT has developed various customized e-Application using Domino infrastructure for the company Business Departments. The e-Applications Migrartion is focused on migration of Domino based application developed by ITD over the last decade for the company Business Departments other than Human Resources (HR). The company has selected SAP as a corporate development platform, and ICT wants to align their application development practices with it to maximize business benefit and leverage the company investment in SAP. It will also have the added benefit of simplifying system landscape and reducing overhead required to manage current complex IT landscape. The e-Applications Migration will bring an ideal integration and application suite with integration to core backend systems running SAP and non-SAP software. It will provide ICT a pathway to Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that is business driven, delivers IT flexibility, and keeps costs down. ICT will be able to adapt quickly and effectively to changing business conditions while minimizing redundant application and infrastructure costs.
