Soil Investigation Works

Scope of Work
The services comprise provision of necessary tools, equipment & plant and manpower to carryout soil investigation, topographic survey and existing services identification (using electronic devices) works as and when required by the company in South, East, West, and North the country fields, Ahmadi, Mina Al-Ahmadi, Shoaiba, Mina Abdullah, Mina Al-Zour, Wafra, and/or any other locations within the company’s operation areas, all as more particularly described in the contract and summarized below:
- Carry out soil investigation works by sinking designated number of bore holes at different locations on the Site, as where and when required by the Company, laboratory and optional soil laboratory tests and calculations as and when directed by the company and submit report to the company.
- Manually excavate test pits of specified dimensions as elaborated in the Technical Specification as where and when directed by the Company. Backfill the same in compacted layers after inspection of the test pits by the company and submit report to the company.
- Carry out visual identification of existing aboveground utilities / services and mapping and identification of existing underground utilities / services using latest approved electronic devices at different locations on the site, as where and when required by the company and submit report to the company.
- The company shall instruct the contractor, when the Services are required to be executed through written order (“Service Order”).
- The quantities of the soil investigation works and identification of existing underground utilities / services work. The actual quantities of the services shall be dictated by the company’s requirements and the contractor acknowledges that there is no minimum or guaranteed quantity of the Services.
- Services not included:
Following services are not included in the scope of services of this contract:
a) Re-asphalting of excavated roads or other asphalted areas.
b) Re-concreting of excavated slab on grades.
c) Relocation of existing services
