Scope of Work
Protection relays are used to keep guard of electrical system until a fault occurs which will demand the protection relays to operate. Hence, protection relays must be available and operational at all times. However with time, Relays may fail to operate due to various reasons. This is considered as a hidden failure, which cannot be revealed unless functionality of the relays is checked at regular basis to ensure high availability. QP requires to hire a professional and experienced contractor to test and calibrate the Protection Relays during Plant Shutdown and QP working hours based on requirements.
