Scope of Work
The Scope included Installation of new 11kV 72 MW Ahmadi ‘E’ Main Intake Substation in Ahmadi Township Kuwait, consists of detailed Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of new substation equipment.
The Scope of Work shall include Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of 11kV, 54 panel, 3150A, 40kA, 3sec, Switchboard, along with Control panels and associated equipment, as detailed & described elsewhere in the document. The Substation will provide power to existing facility and future facility Electrical loads.
The Substation building shall include Transformer bays, Switchgear room, Control and Relay room, Battery room, Telecom room, Cable basement, Offices and gas cylinder storage room, HVAC room etc., along with Road works inside the Fence as detailed in the Technical Specification and drawings. The Substation will include two external bays to accommodate two transformers.
The Scope of work includes Construction of Asphalt access Road between Main Road and Substation site. The line-up of 11kV panels in the Ahmadi ‘E’ substation will be used for feeding power to various industrial/residential loads such as transformers, motors, Rectifiers, VSD equipment etc. that are required to operate the facilities through Area substations.
