Scope of Work:
Currently, stripped associated gas (SAG) from Fahahil stripping plant (FSP) is the primary source of fuel gas to Dukhan consumers. This SAG is sour and needs to be replaced by sweet fuel gas in order to comply with ministry of environment requirements. Fuel gas (FG) demand for Dukhan (QP & NON-QP Operations) is expected to increase over the coming years considerably and depleting SAG may not be sufficient to meet the required demand.
Therefore alternate fuel gas supply source capable of ensuring adequate supply, reliable and suitable to satisfy environmental quality, is deemed necessary. Sweet fuel gas from Ras Laffan Gas Distribution System (GDS) is found to be the most viable source. So the scope of this project consists mainly of installation of new 36" pipeline header running from station U to station N and new 18" pipeline header from station N to Khatiyah North with several branches to all Dukhan current consumers.
