Project Description:
Remediation of existing pits and contaminated soil within KOC three oil fields, namely, South & East Kuwait (S&EK), West Kuwait (WK) and North Kuwait (NK) areas.
The work shall be split into three distinct lots entitled “Lot A”, “Lot B”, and “Lot C” and each lot will be awarded as a separate contract. Lots A, B and C collectively comprise a total of twenty-four features for remediation. Each lot comprises a total of eight features as follows:
1. Two (2) effluent pits containing supernatant oil, contaminated water, oil sludge and contaminated soil;
2. Two (2) sludge pits containing oil sludge and contaminated soil;
3. Two (2) contaminated (hydrocarbons) soil piles; and
4. Two (2) gatch (sand quarry) pits.
Each Lot has, as far as is reasonably practicable, been formulated to comprise features, which are geographically clustered.
