Scope of Work
Purchasing specifications of Biocide - Algaecide. Bactericide for industrial cooling water

- Should be compatible with all corrosion, scale prevention and chlorination programmes for cooling water systems.

- Should control and prevent the growth of algae, fungi and both aerobic, anaerobic and sulphate reducing bacteria in cooling water.

- Should work as a biocide and bio –dispersant for effective

- Should be effective under alkaine conditions

- (ph range 7.5-9.0).

- It should be biodegradable.

- Dosing rate to be defined.

- Shelf life of products to be given.

- It should not contain heavy metals or phenols.

- It should have been field tested successfully in our plants.

- Lab procedures and necessary chemical reagents and apparatus

For determining bacteria counts of all kinds in the samples must be offered.

Bio Dispersant Specification:-

1. Strong dispersent affects gives outstanding slime exfoltating efficiency, evenly effective exfoltating all acidic to alkali phase.

2. Long period of stability and sustained effectiveness even if in relatively high temperature.

3. Neither contains heavy metals nor use inter materials.

4. Shelf life of product to be given.

5. It must have been filed tested successfully in our facilities.

6. Lab. procedures & necessary chemical reagents & apparatus for general testing & evaluation of water samples & determining residual of the product in the samples must be offered.

Purchasing specifications of corrosion and scale inhibitor for circulating cooling water systems

1- Organic ploymer, not contain zinc or any other material.

2- It must be biodegranable and compatible with the raw and make – up water characteristics.

3- It must be non-chromate type.

4- It must be resistent to time temperature and ph

5- It must provide a low corrision rate (5 mpy) max.

6- It should eliminate h2so4 injection.

7- It should be restent to chlorin.

8- Protection from corrosin should include copper and copper alloys.

9- Minimum in-plant shelf life must be stated.

10- Type and concentrations of active ingredients must be stated.

11- It must have been field tested successfully in our facilities.

12- Lab procedures and necessary chemical regents apparatus for general testing and evaluation of water samples and for determining residual of the product in the samples must be offered.

Note:

Measurement devices with the reagent should be provide as below:-

- Spectrophotometer.
- Ph meter
- Conductivity meter.
- Chlorine meter.

- Chemical consumption for four cooling towers should be mentioned as kg/ day for worst conditions.

- Corrosion rate should be limited to less than 5mpy .
