Scope of Work
Technical specifications of foam seal and roof drain hose for storage tanks
- Foam Seal
General Information:
The seal to be used on floating roofs, open type externally.
The seal design shall be used on tank design 46 meters min diameter containing the full range of crude oil
and generally used with asphaltic and waxy crude.
Complete Foam seal including all required envelope; foam. Adhesive and metal parts (excluding
weather shields).
Design feature:
The seal is designed to enable installation and removal to be carried out from the top of the roof and vertical mounting.
The sealing effect between the roof and tank shall is achieved by the use of special octagonal foam sections/35/cm in diameter and /2/ M long approx, the foam sections are held in position by an internal hold down plate.
The position of the seal in service, whether it is in contact With the stored product or held above the stored product, is determined by the top bolting position.
The hold down plates and foam sections are encapsulated within synthetic rubber coated nylon sealed envelope.
The seal envelope is produced from a highly abrasion resistance coated fabric material to obtain the most sealing effect.
The width of seal envelope is/110/cm and long as the circle of each tank in additional of /15/M long
apptox, and without any holes.
All the metal parts of seals should be galvanized Steel.
Nominal rim spaces between (200-300) mm.
Clamp bar should be in one hole, and length of bolting is 5cm.
Services life: 10-1 5 years.

A hose designed to meet the special conditions required for total immersion in crude oil for long periods.
The hose is constructed from special compounded rubber with synthetic fiber and steel reinforcement

Flexible wire inserted with built in steel nipple and flanges ANSI CLASS 150RF, with lead ballast cable and clevis pin and clamp
