Scope of Work
RWE Dea AG, headquartered in Hamburg/Germany, conducts international exploration for hydrocarbons. The company deploys state-of-the-art drilling and production techniques and utilizes the vast expertise acquired over more than 110 years of its corporate history. It has also set standards in terms of safety and environmental protection.
RWE Dea operates production facilities in Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark and Egypt, and holds exploration licenses in Algeria, Libya, Poland, Trinidad Tobago and Turkmenistan.
In Libya, one of the key regions of RWE Dea’s upstream business, the company operates the concessions NC193 and NC195, located in Sirt Basin. In these concessions four (4) Exploration wells and two (2) optional appraisal wells are planned to be drilled in Q4 /2014 & 2015.
Pre-qualification Announcement for provision of Drilling Rig Services:
RWE Dea North Africa /Middle East GmbH Libya Branch (Company) intends to issue the tender described below and wish to invite for pre-qualification, interested, experienced and reputable companies (contractor) specialized in providing Drilling Rig Services.
Scope Of Work Summary:
Provision of "Drilling and Workover Rig Services" for the drilling of four (4 ) vertical exploration wells & 2 optional wells in NC193 & NC195 “Sirt basin” in Q4/ 2014 and 2015: Two (2) wells in NC193 (TD= ± 8000 ft ) & (TD= ± 9000 ft )
Two (2) wells in NC195 (TD= ± 6000 ft ) & (TD= ± 7000 ft )
Required services consist of:
·Provision of Drilling rig services fully equipped with related equipment
·Workover rig Services fully equipped with related equipment to preform production testing,
·Both rigs should have load capacities including camp, catering, and waste removal and HSE responsibility.
The minimum specification for the drilling rig shall be as follows:
·Min Draw-works capacity of 1,200 HP (continuous output power).
·Hook load capacity minimum of 500,000 lbs.
·Depth rating of drilling wells up to 10,000 ft – with 5” Drill pipe
·Top Drive System is of advantage.
·Two Triplex mud pumps able to deliver minimum of 350 GPM each at 4,300 psi rating pressure. A third mud pump is an advantage but not mandatory.
·Rotary Table opening minimum 27 ˝”
·Two (2) Shale Shakers (minimum). A third Shaker is of advantage. (Derrick type or similar).
·Other solids controls are advantages.
·Well control equipment rated to 5,000 psi pressure rating (with choke manifold)
·Mud tank min. capacity of 1,500 bbls including reserve tank.
·Water tank min. capacity of 1,000bbls.
·Main camp size 80 persons during drilling operation.
The minimum specification for the workover rig shall be as follows:
·Rig should be trailer mounted i.e. highly mobile.
·Drawworks capacity of 750-1000 HP (continuous output power).
·Hook load capacity minimum of 300,000 lbs.
·Depth rating of drilling wells up to 7000 ft 8 1/2” in hole diameter.
·Depth rating of 8,000 ft with 3 ˝” tubing for WO operation.
·Two mud pumps able to deliver minimum of 300 GPM of each at 5,000 psi rating pressure.
·Preferably two Shale Shakers capable to handle 600 GPM mud flow.
·Well control equipment rated to 5,000 psi rating pressure. (With choke manifold).
Latest spud date for fourth d well is 31 December 2015
