Scope of Work
The company intends to put in place open contracts for the emergency leak repair of pipelines and flow-lines in the company Swamp area for a firm period of 2 years and a 1 year optional extension. The Swamp Area is located within the project and it is a marshy area only accessible by water.
The activities requested are as follows:-
a) Execute the work in compliance with the company HSE and Construction Procedures b) Carry out detailed joint verification with authorities to ascertain the actual cause offailure or leak prior to repair activities c) Carry out cleaning of the affected area of operation to safeguard repair operations; - Containment of spilled crude around affected point on the facility. - Transfer of recovered spilled crude oil to approved company facility d) Clearing, cleaning and foaming of affected area around the point to be repaired with fire retardant chemical foam to create a safe work zone for repair activities e) Excavation to expose affected section of the facility f) Carry out Gas testing to ascertain conducive gas level to commence activities and throughout the repair activity duration g) Carry out repairs (coning, patch welding, full encirclement and sectional replacement where necessary) of the damage or defective area of the pipeline h) Carry out NDT (UT test and or Dye Penetrant Inspection) of all welded joint in accordance with standard i) Priming and wrapping with polyken tape/shrinkable sleeves/concrete (as may be applicable) j) Backfilling k) Site restoration l) Mobilization/Demobilization (as may be applicable)
