Scope of Work
The company invites bids for the supply of Qty=124, Extinguisher. fire, cylinder, BS 5423/BAFE/BS EN3, chromium molybdenum alloy steel, -20 to + 60 deg.c., black, 14.4 kg, 15 sec, 55 bar at 20 deg c, 140 mm, 715 mm, 3 m, 5 kg
The fire extinguisher is to be designed as:
1) Test pressure: 250 bar
2) Working pressure at 20 deg.c.: 55 bar.
3) Height: 715 mm.
4) Diameter: 140 mm.
5) Discharge time:15 sec
6) Minimum discharge range: 3 meters
7) Operating head: brass hot stamping
8) Discharge horn: plastic, circular tapered type (flat tapered type is not acceptable)
9) Non conductive, anti static"
10) Discharge nozzel: swivel tube with horn (discharge hose with horn is not acceptable)
11) Full weight: 14,4 kg.
12) Empty weight: 94 kg.
13) Discharge: controllable
14) Test conditions: performance testing as per BS 5423:1987.
15) Fire rating: 55b.
- Others: the fire extinguisher shall be supplied fully charged and fitted with all
- Accessories also wall mounted
- Bracket is to be supplied with each extinguisher
Notes:
a) The fire extinguisher shall fully comply with the performance requirements of BS5423 (latest edition) and approved by B.A.F.E./L.I.P.A.D.O.T./BSEN3 copy of approval/test certificate to be submitted with the offer
b) A sample shall be submitted for evaluation and testing on non returnable basis (free of charge)
c) Hydrotest test certificate of cylinder required along with the delivery
d) Year of manufacture of the cylinder shall not be earlier than 2012 or the year of delivery period
e) Each cylinder shall be engraved near neck the cylinder number, date of manufacture, date of hydrotest, hydrotest pressure and working pressure
f) The method of operation instruction shall be marked on cylinder both in English and Arabic, restricted to the company list of approved manufacturers code 19.4
