Scope of Work
The company invites bids to provide everything necessary including, as required herein, including Supply of Doctor, Paramedic and Nurse as follows:
- Employees’ well-being and good health is always a primary concern for the company to ensure the company makes every effort for continual improvement in Medical Services provided to employees.
- In a remote site community, medical services are a key contributor to the quality of life and security enjoyed by expatriate and local staff alike.
- In addition the OHC provides first aid or emergency medical response as appropriate for any contractor, who is injured while working on site, and facilitate referral as needed.
- The primary objective of the OHC is to promote fit and healthy workforce through achieving lower absenteeism of employees due to ill health, and the subsequent increased productivity from a fit and health workforce.
- As a result of the remoteness of the site, the OHC will provide adequate prompt and professional services and backup in the event of injury/illness.
- Excluded from the services rendered, is the treatment of any personal medical condition that is non-emergency and non-work related. Employees, presenting with such conditions, will be referred to community based primary healthcare providers for treatment e.g. private and government medical facilities. Facilitation via service providers may be required e.g. medical aid.
- The Supplier shall ensure a 24/7/365 occupational healthcare clinic service.
- The company runs in-house clinics for the MAF Plant and Sohar Plants at Muscat and Sohar respectively, also other location within the company premises on future if required. The purpose of this tender is to provide the below defined medical professionals for managing the company clinics for 3 Years.
- The major activities in these in-house clinics include but not limited to provide primary medical care and emergency medical help and coordinating with contracted clinics / hospitals for employees’ periodical medical tests and maintain their medical records as per the company medical procedures.
