Scope of Work
The company invites all prospective suppliers and contractors for EPIC for Upgrade of Port Control Tower & Systems at RLIC.
The EPIC contractor shall carry out the EPIC, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, and start-up for the Completion of all works.
EPIC contractor shall engage an engineering consultant / VTS vendor, including any specialist sub-consultants deemed necessary to execute the work, who shall be subject to QP approval. The major scope related to VTS and associated systems are:
- New VTS system replacing the existing Port Control Tower (PCT) system and RADARS
- Taking raw feeds from existing 8 Nos. security RADARs and integrating with VTS system to provide comprehensive VTS coverage for the port operation.
- Install new VHF Marine radio base stations and antenna on existing 70m tall telecom tower (located near RPB67 at Central cargo causeway) to enhance the VHF radio coverage till Single Point Mooring (SPM) located approx 35nm from existing PCT.
- Install new radio base stations and associated equipment, VCCS replacing the existing equipment at PCT
- Install new operator / supervisor consoles - 6 Nos. (3 Nos located at PCT, 1 No. at Port Operations Building, 1 No. at Pilot office and 1 No. at Maintenance building)
The scope of the project also involves works such as refurbishment of entire PCT in association with other discipline activities such as Architecture, Civil / structural, HVAC, Elec, RADAR shelter on roof top, Instrumentation and Loss prevention works.
