Provision of Facility Maintenance for WS1 Intake Area

Scope of Work
The company announces its need for supply of Facility Maintenance for WS 1 Intake Area.
Scope of work
a) Replace the suctions & discharges of intake pumps. There are four pumps in the intake area, their suction & discharge shall be replaced one by one to keep normal water supply for camp. All the new piping shall be painted according to the relative specification.
Considering the shutdown duration of WS1 is less than 3 hours, so the suction & discharge of each pump must be Pre-fabricated in advance and replaced one by one. The new discharge manifold must have two tie-ins, one for the old piping to keep normal water supply for camp and the other with one temporary flange blind for new piping.
b) Reinforce the framework and the platform. The framework of the platform has been corroded in the river for over 8 years, so needs to be reinforced, and some plates have missed which need to be recovered again. The foundations for the framework maybe have some corrosion, so some repair works will be done.
c) Replace the steel transport pipeline. The water transport pipeline (10") from water intake to camp is approximately 1.8 km, in the middle of the transport pipe line is FRP, the section from water intake pumps to duty yard and the section next to the camp are steel pipes.
The section from water intake pumps to duty yard will be replaced by 3 PE pipe(supplied by WAPEC); the length is about 120 m.And this section crosses the river embankment sub base road, so some excavation and back filling must be done. The river embankment sub base road is about 2m(high)*8m(width).
The pipeline must be constructed at first and be tied in short time to reduce the affection to WS1. The old pipeline will bere moved by contractor after the new pipeline completed.
