Scope of Work
The company announces its need for Supply of Pony Drill Collars.
- Item 001, QTY= 6 of Pony Drill Collars (Slick/Spiral) manufactured from AISI 4145 H modified alloy steel and fully heat treated to 285-341 Brinell hardness. The mechanical properties of the pony drill collars should meet API Spec. 7-1 requirements.
A: SPECIFICATIONS:
Type : Slick/Spiral grooved.
Outside Diameter : 241.30 mm (9.1/2 inch)
Inside Diameter : 76.20 mm (3 inch)
Length : 3 m (9.84 feet) +/- 6 inch
Thread Connections: 193.675 mm (7.5/8 inch) API Reg. (RH) box up x pin down
OD of Slip Recess : 228.60 mm (9 inch)
Length of Slip Recess: 533.40 mm (21 inch) minimum.
Beginning of Slip Recess : 1066.80 mm (42 inch) from box end.
Hard banding: 254 mm (10 inch) long wear pad below slip recess & 102 mm (04 inch) long wear pad above slip recess.
Pony Drill collars should have the following features on their thread connections (box up x pin down):
a) API stress relief groove on pin end.
b) API bore back box.
c) All connections should be phosphatised.
d) All thread roots should be cold rolled.
e) All connections should be coated with an API lubricant and
provided with pressed steel thread protectors installed at both ends.
Bidder(s) should confirm the same while quoting.
Note: Drill Collars should be provided without Zip Lift Recess for elevators.
