Supplying Complete Treatment Package for Wastewater Unit 32-8
Reference: 9/2009 6/3/2020, Location: Middle East
Category: Waste Water Treatment Plant

Scope of Work
The company announces its need for Supplying a complete treatment package including the chemicals, services and any other equipment or materials that the bidder may consider necessary for carrying out the required treatment for the wastewater unit 32-8.

Unit Description: Unit 32-8 is designed for treating total influent of 2500 m3/h which consists of 800 m3/h oily water from process, 800 m3/h storm water from clean areas and 900 m3/h storm water from clean areas. The mixed wastewater runs to 3 elevator pumps each has a capacity of 1250 m3/h in 5 m head.

Although current flow rate is about 1950 m3/h, the flow rate may exceed the designed rate and the excess rate will overflow to sedimentation basin B40.Two submersible drain pumps will pump water to the intake pumping station in case of flow rate decrease. A special coarse screen has been installed at the intake.

Wastewater is pumped into the preliminary separator, then to two parallel twin API separators equipped with scrapers mounted on moving bridge that enable separating sludge down and oil up .API separator effluents flow by gravity to neutralization and flocculation tanks where FeSO4 and polymer are added.

Currently, PH indicator and controller are not working and H2SO4 or NaOH injection system for controlling PH is also out of service and mixer is out of service too.

FeSO4 is used as H2S scavenger and the polymer as flocculent. The neutralized from flotation tank has been enriched with dissolved air under pressure .DAF are equipped with skimmers for sludge.

After phys-chemical treatment, wastewater flows by gravity to the activated sludge system (biological treatment) which is equipped with eight fixed surface separators of capacity 45 KW power each They are controlled by timer (without an oxygen meter)which has been installed in aeration basin Nutrient injection facilities for Di-Ammonium phosphate have not been provided , because currently their injection systems are out of operation.

The activated sludge flows by gravity into two clarifiers with diameter of 46 m each and are provided with special vacuum system. Settled activated sludge is recirculated by Arachmedian screw pumps to aeration basin. Excess activated sludge is continuously extracted and pumped to sludge thickener. flocculated water is intensely mixed with a partial flow of clean effluent.
